Four Week Lesson Series Starting Thursday, June 3rd

Swing classes every Thursday evening in June! Classes are open to everyone, you don’t have to bring a partner, and you don’t need special shoes.

Thursdays 6/3, 6/10, 6/17, 6/24

INTRO SWING (6:00-7:15pm)
Four weeks covering the basics and fundamentals of Lindy Hop, including the Swing Out and Lindy Circle

INTERMEDIATE SWING (7:30-8:45pm)
Week 1: “A Swing Out By Any Other Name” – Review and polish the Swing Out and some variations
Week 2: “Charleston, meet Lindy” – Side by Side Charleston and Tandem Charleston
Week 3: “Transitions” – Change between Lindy Hop, Charleston, East Coast, and Blues
Week 4: “Time to Show Off” – Adding Compression, Stretch, and Breaks to Swing and Lindy

All classes meet at the Afro-American Cultural Center, 211 Park St, New Haven*.
